Little Brody was referred to us in 2017 by an orthopedist because he was limping on his left front leg.  The vet suspected Medial Shoulder Instability (similar to a rotator cuff injury in humans) and suggested conservative treatment first.   Brody gained strength but the limp didn't resolve so he went to VOSM in Maryland and had surgery to repair Medial Shoulder Instability.  Brody returned to us for therapy and the left shoulder rehabbed fully.  Unfortunately, shortly after that Brody started limping on his right front leg.  Poor guy had the same injury on the other side!   He went back to VOSM and had surgery on the right side.  Brody, however, is happy and undeterred.  He does his floor work, walks in the underwater treadmill, and gets his weekly massages.  Brody is always happy, excited and moving at warp speed!  He loves bacon and chicken (prepared especially for him by his dad).  He's putting weight on both front legs now and leading a happy life.   Good job Brody!

ONE STEP CLOSER....

Sara and her Canine Sports Medicine Classmates

Sara completed the three-day Canine Sports Medicine course at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute.  One step closer to her full certification!  Sara says:  This second class was shorter than the first but I definitely learned a lot. I learned new techniques, exercises and ideas that I am excited to incorporate into my work. It helped me feel more confident in myself. Chris Zink was a great teacher and it was wonderful getting to work with her. I am looking forward to the next and final course so I can officially be certified.
