Training to Trial – Success in the Ring!
A Two-Day seminar presented by Petra Ford, PT, CCRT
Positive Attitude and Positive Performance will cover the following:
· Positive training methods create confident, upbeat AND accurate dogs in training and in the ring.
· Put the JOY back into training.
· Clear criteria with clear communication = confidence
· Creating “want to” instead of “have to.”
· Problem solving is empowering.
· Managing drive state for optimal learning and ring performance.
· Your dog CAN and SHOULD exhibit “the utmost in willingness and enjoyment.”

· Handling for Success
· Powerful Pre-Cues
· Transitions, Transitions, Transitions
· Training for Mental Endurance
· Problem Solving
Petra’s dogs are known for their attitude, consistency, and accuracy in the ring. Petra has trained and trialed her Labrador retrievers in Obedience, Agility, Field and Nosework.
Petra and Tyler were the two-time National Obedience Champions in 2008 and 2009 and first runner up in 2010. Petra and Tyler placed second in 2010 in the Obedience World Cup at Crufts, and became the first American team to win the Obedience World Cup at Crufts in 2012.
Currently she is competing in the Master’s level in agility with Zaidan. Zeal has earned his OTCH. He was the second runner up at the 2017 National Obedience Championship and won the Masters Division at the Eukanuba Class in 2017.

WAIVER: As a condition to acceptance of the application, the following agreement must be signed. AGREEMENT TO HOLD HARMLESS, WAIVER AND ASSUMPTTON OF RISK: I understand that attendance at a dog training class is NOT without risk to myself, members of my family or guests who may attend, or my dog, because the dogs to which I will be exposed may be difficult to control and may be the cause of damage of injury even when handled with the greatest amount of care. I hereby waive and release DAUPHIN DOG TRAINING CLUB, INC., hereinafter DDTC, and its officers from any damage or injury resulting from the action of any dog. I expressly assume the risk of such damage or injury that I or my dog may suffer while attending any training session or any other function of DDTC, or while on the training grounds or the surrounding area. I understand that by signing or executing this form, I am releasing DDTC, its officers, members, and agents from any liability for damages or injury even if DDTC its officers, members, and/or agents are negligent. In consideration of and as inducement to the acceptance of my application for training by DDTC, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless DDTC, its officers. members, and agents from any and all claims by members of my family or any other person accompanying me to any training session or function of DDTC. or while on the premises or the surrounding area as a result of any action by any dog, including my own. I hereby certify that I am over 18 years of age and of sound mind.
PLEASE NOTE: No refunds after September 3, 2019. Refund will be allowed if you have someone to take your spot or there is a waiting list.
